This past week we were at a condo in Cornrow TX. We rented a boat and spent the weekend skiing and tubing with a couple friends. The rest of the week J and I enjoyed tooling around the lake and looking at ginormous houses. It has been a long time since we've spent any time on a lake and it was much needed. It felt like home, it was wonderful. It was also very hot, summer has arrived in TX and we are very sun kissed. I think there were two highlights from this trip worth mentioning. One was the first day of the trip the other the last. To start, with in the first hours of being on the boat skiing and tubing, Jason found out why he was not created to do the splits and touch his toes. See the above picture. The other was when we found out that the gas gage on the boat did not work while we were in the middle of the lake. This however did sharpen our fervent praying skills. Jesus pushed us to a bar that has docks on the lake. We then walked to a gas station (Jason limping the whole way) got a gallon of gas walked it through the bar then boated to the gas station up the next bend. OH I forgot to mention that the second day we paid over $4. for gas. don't ask what that bill was. With all of that going on we still were able to place our vote for D.C. on Idol and watch him win. Over all we had a fun time and now laugh at all the mishaps. After all life would be boring if there were no surprises.
